Writing about my dentist makes me go back in time. 34 years ago, in the Eduardo Santos hospital in La Unión (Nariño), she was a professional dentist who was serving poor people coming from urban and rural areas. Since that moment, I recognized Dr. Gladys Pasuy as a professional who was confident, calm, resourceful, charismatic, but above all she was innovative, without hesitation about applying all the knowledge she learned in the academia. That’s why I always consider her as my super savior, fighting every battle I have with my teeth, molars, and gum tissue, in order to maintain my mouth in good shape. You can’t imagine how I admire you, Dr. Gladys, and also appreciate you because of your strength in the process of raising your beautiful family, your professional training, and qualifications. I consider you more than a dentist when you treat me, but a friend who always tries to ease my worries and fears about dental instruments with comforting words, and deep thoughts. My dear Gladys, a big hug for being that unconditional person and excellent professional.
